Rolandom
My name is Roli Megert, as Deejay I call myself Rolandom. Music is one of my strongest passions. My parents used to tell me that already at my christening in church, I had been crying “Music! Music!” when the organ went silent.
At the age of 6, I began to record the hitparade show on the then newly founded radio station DRS3 (Swiss radio playing modern pop and rock sound) on tape. I was always on the search for music that gave me pleasure by singing along and dancing to it.
When I was 12 years old, a new word attracted my attention: “Disco”!
Loud music, dancing, pretty girls, colorful moving lights, Deejays moving records forth and back and steering the crowd on the dancefloor, all of this was very fascinating to me.
In 1988, I met Steve Bastardo for the first time. He introduced me to the art and secrets of mixing and arranged for me my first appearance before audience: I took part in a Deejaying contest where I won the 2nd place.
Steve and I kept working together and melted our individual and characteristic styles to a unity:

We played at a variety of parties, at first mostly illegal ones but as time went on we did our show at wellknown clubs around Zurich like Kanzlei, Limmathaus, Palais X-tra, Mascotte, Arena Spreitenbach and many more.
Creativi Della Notte also took part at the Zurich Streetparade 1993 with their own Lovemobile, on board Deejays Steve Bastardo, Mike Levan and Rolandom.
1993 I changed my main focus on my professional education and my own business.
In 2003, I began again with deejaying but at first in a personal environment only.
Soon after, Electric Bandit and I founded the by now well-known DJ-collective
We organized many parties in our region, e.g. Night of Joy, Another Night of Joy, Final Explosure, Electric X-Mas, Grill and Chill and many more.
In 2003, Creativi Della Notte met again!

Another aspect of my work regarding music is the promotion of promising new talents. I therefore do volunteer work with the
VEREIN ZUR FÖRDERUNG ELEKTRONISCHER MUSIK (Society for Promotion of Electronic Music) which I see as a promising platform for young talents who love deejaying just as much as I do…

Minimalistica Venezia
Dj Mitch from Venice, Italy, and I founded a new project called “Minimalistica Venezia”. Right at the beginning we recorded the mix of the same name which also could be heard as Webstream at deepmix.ru (Moskow Radio).
